Dealing With Stress and Overwhelm
Nearly everyone is experiencing what we can call chronic stress. We can define chronic stress as consistent feelings of overwhelm and pressure over a long period of time. Navigating life today involves so much pressure and stress because the expectations on us are high - whether they're placed on us by ourselves or others. Left unattended, this creates a total preoccupation with, and consumption by, our stress and overwhelm.
The Consequences of Stress
When our bodies are chronically stressed we experience a whole myriad of outcomes - some are psychological and some are emotional, like: brain fog, inability to focus or concentrate, anger or rage, sadness, poor sleep, feelings of loneliness or isolation, anxiety and depression. There are physical consequences too and some of these are: accelerated aging, weight gain, hormone dysfunction, tense and sore muscles, chronic disease, mysterious illnesses, low energy levels, low libido, sexual dysfunction, and high blood pressure.
Did you know that ALL of your STRESS, ANXIETY and OVERWHELM is created by the thoughts that you think!?
What you will be learning in this program is how to redirect your attention away from your thoughts to your meditation. Your meditation then acts as a bridge to your Self (capital 'S' because we're talking about your true self, your Higher Self) which is your natural state and your source of inner peace and clarity. The repeated act of meditation acts like a brain training and, over time, you become much more capable of disengaging from your incessant thinking.
With the seemingly passive act of meditating, we are actually performing the action of non-doing. With this mental training, we learn how to see from an observer's perspective where we are gripping too tightly in our lives, where we are being triggered, and we simply get behind it which creates much needed separation.Â
When we create this space between who we are and what we think about, we can then learn to live from this place outside of our active meditations. We learn how to be less reactive to the things outside of us and live with much less worry, aggravation, aggression and striving, all of which distracts us from our clarity around what our next best move could be. We learn to hear from and listen to our intuition. We listen better to our bodies and to the people in our lives. We begin to cultivate this awareness of how to be present in our relationships and in our lives. We stop engaging with our life in ways that harm us and become drawn to the ways we can choose better and act to support our progress.Â

Meet Your Teacher
My name is Jennifer Fisher and I'm so glad you're here!
My meditation practice is, in fact, the reason why you're here right now reading these words! Through meditation I've been able to learn how to access who I really am so that I can not only create from this place but also show up bravely and authentically as me - not as my fears - every single day. This is how I keep moving in the direction of my full potential.
But, I haven't always felt so sure about myself. I've struggled with anxiety for most of my life and the fear at the root of my anxiety taught me compassion. It is from this compassion that comes my desire to teach and serve in this way. So many of us are living with fear and this fear interfere's with our ability to be all that we can be. I want to see this change for you.
I have practiced meditation for many years. I've studied meditation and mindfulness with Jon Kabat-Zinn and I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Some of my most influential meditation teachers have been Thick Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Chogyam Trungpa, Sally Kempton, Sadhguru and Deepak Chopra.
You are not your stress, your worries, your fear, your anxiety, your regrets or any of the unpleasant feelings and thoughts you have on a day-to-day basis that keep you in struggle. You are none of those things.
It is my honour to introduce meditation to you as a way for you to discover this for yourself.
